World Record for Wi-Fi Wireless Distance

| News | Having trouble getting your computers to network at a range of 100 feet (30 m)? A few weeks ago, the Defcon WiFi Shootout declared a new world record for Wi-Fi connectivity distance of 125 miles (275 km) using 802.11b and some very large satellite dishes. Now a competing team is claiming to have beaten the record with a 137.2 mile connection using a proprietary protocol. Hey, can we all just concentrate on getting those first 100 feet to work better?
